People ask me where the name Drifter Entertainment came from. Well, a good friend of mine called me a drifter jokingly one day, and I thought that name was a good representation of me…so needless to say the first company I started was named “Drifter Entertainment.” My only regrets about the name is that it makes for a long URL.
Drifter started in May of 2007 to produce a documentary, which it completed a year and a half later. It was a very grueling process to produce our first piece, because honestly we had to put up all the money ourselves, let’s be honest no one is gonna give you money for your first project…why would they?
So now with at least one film done, I hope that the next one will come a little easier, but I know it probably won’t. I haven’t figured out the entire entertainment industry, and like many struggle to make it, but if we hang around long enough maybe these wild ideas will change the world.
